On Sunday, Zane and Liam enjoyed an all-important male-bonding activity - cooking on the barbie. Rick and Kerrie kindly provided the snags and bbq on their new deck, which is totally fabulous. Liam had a great time inspecting the flurry of activity around him from his bugaboo.
On Tuesday morning we went to a morning tea at Roma St parklands with the mother's group and a whole lot of other mums and bubs that I hadn't met before. The weather was beautiful and it was very pleasant. When I left the morning tea I visited the public toilets and was just strolling off with Liam in tow when two Japanese tourists kindly informed me that I had my skirt tucked into the back of my knickers! Mental note - never leave a public toilet without checking your behind. It's a good thing that I am already used to experiencing complete humiliation and loss of dignity, having given birth.
After my cheeks stopped burning, I hopped in the car and went to Sisco, the cafe owned and run by our family friends Vicki and Kelly Jones. It's on Boundary St, Spring Hill, just across the road from the Cheers pub. The food is delicious and the coffee is fab. Please visit! They have just opened for Saturday brekky as well from 8am to 2pm. So tell all your friends.
Next stop was Qld Ambulance, where I had the capsule taken out of the car and Chloe & Katie's car seat installed. A momentous occasion! Liam LOVES his new seat.
In other exciting developments, we are trialling a new regime for Liam developed by Tizzie Hall. Kate, a girl from mother's group, told me about it. Well after our first day and night on the "Tizzie Regime" (it's very strict), Liam went to bed at 7.30pm and didn't wake up until 6.45 this morning!!!!! Pop the champers corks, there is light at the end of the tunnel! Hail Queen Tizzie!
PS - I've attached pics of the bbq, Liam before the morning tea, and Liam in his Jolly Jumper (which he loves).
