Highs and Lows

Well people, it has been a day of peaks and troughs. My first triumph was at the supermarket when I questioned the price of an item at the checkout, was proven correct and given the item for free ... oh the dizzy excitement ... I had beaten the system!

Unfortunately my day wasn't to continue on that note. Unbeknown to me, Liam threw his "blanky" out of the pram when I wasn't looking. Of course he was unable to snooze without his ooshey and when I finally got home I had a very tired and cranky baby on my hands. Luckily I had back-up supplies and he was asleep within seconds after snatching the replacement ooshy out of my hands.

Then, being the domestic goddess that I am, I decided to make some chicken stock. I lovingly chopped carrots and celery and felt the warm glow of domestic bliss as the stock bubbled away on the stove, sending its tantalising aroma throughout the house. Humming a tune with my apron tucked neatly into my shorts, it was time to discard the vegetables and chicken bones, so I poured them into a sieve .... and watched the precious stock drain down the plughole. DURRRRR!!!!!! I could have kicked myself. What was I thinking?

So tonight I will admit defeat - I never was and never will be a domestic goddess. We will eat Thai takeaway and drink alcohol and ponder over the week that was.

Bye!

More Noosa Pics!

Give me that camera Mum!

First time on swing ... not too sure about it! Paddling on the Noosa River shoreline

Easter in Noosa

We had a lovely weekend in Noosa with Paul and Chae. The weather was nice until Sunday. We gorged ourselves on seafood ... on Friday night Zane put two whole snappers on the barbie and did some marinated prawns as well ... we consumed our feast overlooking the roaring ocean and drank copious amounts of wine. Bliss!

The days were spent frolicking in the surf or basking in the sun poolside, taking afternoon kips and exploring the shops on Hastings Street.

It was a bit of a blow having to come home.

Kylie's Hens Night

On Saturday night I hosted Kylie's Hens Night at The Fox Hotel in South Brisbane. There were 25 guests and it was a cocktail theme. A good night was had by all. We played a few games, the best of which was "Pin the Tale on the Male". I can't attach pictures of that game as the content may offend!

Having a quiet one today. Zane is in Sydney and I'm re-organising the study and front bedroom. The fun never stops!
