Liam's 1st birthday party

Liam's party was on Saturday at Moora Park. It was a fabulous day. It was great to get everyone together. The weather was gorgeous, mid 20s with the sun shining.

Liam was a little overwhelmed at times with the excitement, but overall, he had a wonderful day. He will be able to tell his friends all about it at mother's group tomorrow!

We now have a very spoilt baby from the mountains of gifts that were lavished on him. He even got presents from London and New Zealand!!! Thank you to everyone for your gifts.

It's now back to business as usual, apart from the fact that we have Ann staying with us. She is now Liam's firm favourite and he does not like to let her out of his sight. We are indulging in a "date night" tomorrow night. We are going to go out and have some dinner and watch a movie while Grandma babysits for us. Zane wants to watch The Simpsons movie...... I don't think so!!!

I started a six week pottery course last night. Watch this space for exhibits of my upcoming creations......

Liam's First Birthday portaits

New slippers!

Liam meeting his new friend Kermit!

Our handsome boy turned one yesterday! It was a big milestone and we were all feeling quite emotional about it. Everyone except Liam, that is... it was business as usual for him.

Aunty Kerrie visited in the morning and delivered some very snazzy slippers (see picture) and then Grandma Ann and Uncle Brent came over for dinner. The neighbours also popped in with a lovely gift for Liam, so it was a very special day!

Liam was thoroughly spoiled by everyone but most of all by his Grandma... the presents just kept coming and we were all wondering if they were ever going to stop! Liam is a very lucky boy. He is also now the trendiest boy in town thanks to his Aunty Leigh, who sent a Baby Gap jacket over from England. He will be wearing his new favourite jacket to his party on Saturday.

Thank you to everyone who phoned or emailed with birthday wishes.

Roller Heaven

Prize Winners! Enjoying the spoils...

Tricky moves Soph...

Can I go skating next year Mum?

Let's Limbo!

On the recent school holidays I took Sophie, Toby and Liam roller skating. They had a whale of a time! Sophie and Toby were natural born roller skaters ... they should have been born in the disco era, or the glorious 80's. Liam didn't don any skates but happily wheeled his pram around next to the rink instead.

Liam being cute

Here a selection of pics of Liam taken from Dad's camera. He is so adorably baby-licious!!!

Liam's Fake Birthday

As Mum and Dad were going home on 1 July, we decided to have a pre-birthday, birthday party for Liam. We packed a picnic and headed down to Moora Park at Shorncliffe. The redevelopment is now complete and they have done a marvelous job. The weather was perfect, sunny with not too much wind. We had a great time eating and drinking and basking in the sun.

Liam had his first taste of birthday cake. After an ever-so-slight moment of hesitation, he was into it!! The poor child seems to have inherited his mother's sweet tooth.

Mum and Dad have now gone home and the house seems very quiet without them. We had such a good time with them, as we always do, and we were sorry to see them go. I am sure my waistline won't be sorry .... it was a week of excess with drinkies and nibblies galore. M&D were very keen to get back to their idyllic boating lifestyle. Grandkids are hard work!!!!!
