Another Hard Day at the Office

While Brent is away in China on business, Liam decided to drop into the office and do some work so Uncle Brent won't have too much in his in-tray when he gets back. Those Knight boys all like to help each other out.

But it wasn't all work and no play. Liam also found time to work off some energy at Kalinga Park.

Home time ... boo hoo.

My Budding Musician

As a few of you would be aware, Liam comes from an exceptionally gifted, musical background. Of course, his mother is not only a fine pianist but also an amazing singer, and his father can jam with the best of them on his Fender. Then there's the grandparents: Grandma Warren plays the fiddle and Grandad can pretty much do everything musically speaking, but specialises with the guitar. What a fine gene pool for a budding musical talent to emerge from!

Move over Keith Urban, the new generation is coming through.

Here's a few pics of a recent jam session at home. Take note people - this is history in the making.

** Disclaimer: any accusations of us being "stage" parents will be vehemently denied.... it is easy to see that Liam is a natural musical talent destined for greatness without any prompting from his completely non-biased parents.

Warming up the knuckles for his big performance ... is everybody watching??

Stretching the vocal chords for an impromptu sing-along mid-performance

Hmm I seem to have lost my train of thought ... what was I just doing?
... Ah yes, that's right - I was banging the living daylights out of this piano.
Mum, can I go now? Pleeease? And stop calling me Keith, OK?

Liam's busy day

Taking the telephone for a walk Liam and his friend Keeley
Drink Break

We had a great day yesterday. In the morning we went to the city to do some shopping with Kerrie and Linda, then we met the work girls for lunch and a play in Anzac Square. Then it was off to Kalinga Park for the afternoon to meet Liam's (and my) friends from mother's group.

Here are some pics of my beautiful boy!!!!!

Liam's first tentative steps seem like so long ago ... it is now either run, run, run or sleep! He is definitely keeping me on my toes.

Something VERY unusual happened on Tuesday night ... Zane and I went out for dinner sans baby Liam!!!

It was Paul's 61st birthday and we celebrated by going to Isis restaurant in Fortitude Valley. I have been wanting to go there for ages and they did not let my expectations down. The service, ambience, food and everything was fabulous.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Kerrie said that she had a great time with Liam and he was a very good boy for her. Bless him!

Grand Final Carnage

I've just been informed by more than one member of my family that I haven't updated the blog for over a month. Hmmm....
One highlight of the past few weeks was my mixed netball team making it to the Grand Final! We had a rough and rocky road to the GF with many of us sustaining SRI's (sport's related injuries). I think I sprained my knee. That's not a medical diagnosis, but I just sort of guessed after being tripped over on the court and my knee swelled to twice its size, then the most magnificent bruises started appearing... it was like a technicolour rainbow, with its hues changing on a daily basis, but it is starting to wear off now. The exciting thing is that despite all our injuries we WON the GRAND FINAL!!!!!!!!!! How good is that?I'm expecting a contract from the Australian Netball Association any day now....
