Chillin' at the Masons

Kerrie and Ricks new mansion is just made for entertaining, so naturally we spent a lot of time there while all the family were visiting. These pictures were taken on Dad's birthday. Toby was still getting the hang of Spider-Sapien. What followed after this was a delicious bbq dinner washed down with lots of wine /rum / scotch etc. I even indulged in a glass of champers ... very risque!

Toby's soccer game

Toby had his first soccer game for the season a couple of Saturdays ago and the whole lot of us turned out to cheer him on. Toby's team trounced the opposition 4-0. Go Tobes!!!

It was a beautiful sunny day and the kids had nearly as much fun off the field as the players did on the field. Liam got a very good workout running around and causing havoc. Chloe was very attentive and got him out of some very close shaves. Thanks Chloe-belle!

Toby had a birthday on 10th April and to celebrate the whole family went to Lone Star at Aspley. Liam decided to turn his nose up at the fish/cous cous/vegie dish I had lovingly pre-prepared for his dinner and decided instead to opt for a nice healthy dinner of nuggets and chips. The plate was nearly as big as him!!

Toby got some really cool presents this year including a monster truck, a new bike and a Spider-sapien robot. Just what every six year old needs.

We were entertained by the boot-scootin' waitresses (which was quite hilarious although it wasn't supposed to be) and Mum enjoyed it so much she got up and did a bit of boot-scootin' of her own. Wish I had've captured the moment but wasn't fast enough. Then the cowgirls headed over to our table to publicly humiliate Toby with a very strange rendition of happy birthday. It was all over quickly though and a large plate of birthday brownies and ice cream sweetened things up a bit. Being the caring and considerate aunt that I am, I helped Toby finish off his pudding. Anything I can do to help.

It was great having the whole family together for Toby's birthday.

Moora Park

It seems like ages since I have done a blog and so much has happened that I don't know where to begin.

Just for starters, here are some photos of our afternoon at Moora Park a couple of weeks ago. The kids all had a great time playing together and once again Grandad was the star attraction!

Liam is just getting to the age now where he is getting a lot more involved with the bigger kids. Toby is his idol and he just follows him around like a lovestruck puppy. The kids have all been lavishing loads of attention on him and in true style he has been lapping it up.

We had to leave the park in a hurry as a nasty storm front rolled in and things got very ugly. Luckily we got out just in time.

Warren Family Reunion

I can't believe after all our months of eager anticipation, Leigh and the girls and Mum and Dad are finally here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last week I got Leigh and the girls all to myself for a few days and I have loved every minute of our catch-up. The girls are an absolute delight to be around, they bring sunshine into every corner of the house - and they are wriggle worms! They never sit still. Leigh and I have been 'ladies of leisure', going out for lunches and morning teas interspersed with shopping trips and numerous coffee and tea breaks inbetween. Leigh is looking fabulous. Check out the picture below - what a hottie!

Speaking of hotties, Mum and Dad arrived safely on Saturday looking very tanned and glamorous as all retiree yachties should. We had a fabulous bbq at Chez Mason on Saturday night. It was so good having the whole family together for the first time in about 10 years!!!

Liam has been loving all the extra attention. And the icing on the cake for him was that not only did he get to see all his cousins and aunties and G&G Warren last week, he also got to see Grandma Ann at breakfast on Sunday! What a lucky boy. She was just down for a couple of days staying with Brent and Penny.
