Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! We hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas and a great NYE. We spent Christmas Day over at the Masons house with the O'Dowds there as well, it was great having all the kids together for the first time at Christmas. BrisVegas put on a couple of spectacular storms for the O'Dowds and it was HOT so our English roses wilted a little at times, thank goodness for air conditioning!

I have actually been using my camera so have got a few pics to put on the blog for a change. We'll start with Christmas Day:

Merry Christmas everyone! I finally managed to get my shirt back from Liam! (see previous blog)

Chilling out after a swim
James and Aunty Leigh-Leigh

Liam was overcome with emotion ... so many presents!!!

James going for a plane ride with Uncle Wicky
I think I mentioned in the last blog that James graduated from his bassinette to a cot. You'll see why we made that decision from the picture below:
Mum! Get me out of here!
Liam and his BFF, Bob the Builder

Inbetween Christmas and New Years, we had lunch over at Brent and Penny's house. They gave Liam a really cool rocket launcher for Christmas, which we took over to New Farm Park after lunch to test out. It goes like the clappers!
Testing out the rocket launcher .....

Fun on the see-saw with Uncle Brent

Tickles and fun time with Penny - who has seven nieces and nephews - so she has all the tricks of the trade to get a baby to laugh!!

While Leigh and John were still here Liam, James and I met them for lunch at The Belvedere at Redcliffe. Despite the heat - 36 degrees!! it was a very enjoyable lunch.
Chloe taking time out from looking-after-Liam-duties for a cuddle with James

James had his first swim at the Masons house! He loved it as I thought he would, he is real water baby.

Me and James
Another first for James - he started solids.

Awaiting the big event. Good old Farex.

Gimme Gimme!!!
James took to eating like a duck to water - with his chunky thighs and arms we didn't expect any less!! He is what we like to describe as a 'ferocious' eater. There's nothing delicate about meal times with James.
We also managed to get a visit in to Q2 Solutions to see Daddy and Grandad at work.
Liam and Zane contemplating their next strategic business move...
...while Grandad and James have a quick brainstorming session in PK's office.

There was time for a bit of fun when Daddy got home from work - it's not ALL work and no play.
So that's what we've been up to. Nothing too exciting really! I just had to include this picture of our vegie garden - to keep up with Julie and Oliver! It's very overgrown but we are getting lots of goodies like rockmelon, tomatoes, basil, rosemary, cucumbers, spring onions, parsley, lettuce, chives, etc.
